I am a life-long angler, trying to pass to you via this channel some of the amazing experiences anglers are lucky to witness while fishing. I am an all-round angler targetting any fish from freshwater to saltwater, from coarse fish to predators, using baits, lures and flies. Great video Marcin - I'm certainly going to give the teaser a try. I see your lures have sometimes three hooks, sometimes single - how do you decide which to go for please?
It is me experimenting really. I find the single give a better hook hold but worse hookup ratio. If in doubt stick with the original setup, if it's trebles, crushing barbs is a good idea
Any bass up Mayo way ??? Would love to havw a go in the winter.
The further up north the fewer of them but yes certainly they're there and getting caught. You will struggle in winter tho. Concentrate on May till September

What about using a dropshot knot? The fly would stand off at a right angle to the line, would that affect the presentation?
I found it was catching more weed and less safe when playing a fish hooked on the lure

@@MarcinKantor It is a bit difficult to stop the knot sliding into the hook bend. I added superglue.

Hi Marcin. Love your channel. I am new to spinning for bass so am setting up my gear. I got a 28lb braid but it looks really thin. I know it is supposed to be stribg but looking at your videos it looks like you braid main line looks much thicker. Any help would be appreciated.
I use 25lbs for bass, you are fine! in this video, I wasn't using my own gear...

All ways fight a fish with a spey rod at a down-ward side angle pressure; also, it's hard to land a fish trying to stay within camera view by yourself.

Fair question. Fish that size will be likely 20 years old and have a great gene pool to spawn and produce many more Bass. I'm more interested in the survival of the species than having one dinner or a few euro!

One quick question. I have Braid on my spinning reel but it keeps tangling. Am i better to swop to normal line, say 10lb breaking strain?
@sifishes no. It might be the reel itself eg. Penns can have the issue but most likely it is too much braid on the reel

Marcin how important do you think tide state is and also light levels?
State of the tide is very important, but it is different for different spots. Fish tend to arrive in different spots at different states of tide depending on the type of group, water flow etc. The only way to find out when is it is to fish all through the different states of tide. Mornings and evenings tend to be better than mid day but not always

@@MarcinKantor I'm struggling ATM with getting takes, I fish mainly in sandy areas, any tips on what lures and how to fish them would be greatly appreciated. I mainly bottom fish with the usual results, however last year I switched to float fishing with either live sandeel or live joey on a very light setup and am hooked.
